One of the things I know about myself is that sometimes I can’t see the forest for the trees. Remember how I thought the abandoned vehicle in my last blog post didn’t seem to be a Ranchero despite the pattern of the paint where the name badge used to be? I was looking at the photos again and while I didn’t make a picture of the car from the rear, images of the driver’s and passenger’s windows clearly show the car body dropping down behind the seats.
Of course, getting well acquainted with the bark of the trees in that proverbial forest can also uncover magic. When zooming in on one of the pictures, I found this image that looks like the night sky over a red rock desert after rain.
Philosophical note to self and readers: weaknesses are strengths in different situations.
